This post will be all related to Thrity8 Restaurant & Lounge, which I've been with my girls on 13th March 2015
mirror everywhere
When almost dessert time, we headed back to 38th floor to fulfill our stomach
.
THIRTY8 signature cake ♥
It first served in a glass food dome and the cake and ice cream were covered by dry ice which was fogging up
and then the waiter will remove the glass food dome and pour caramel on the top of the cake☺
special arranged a belated blow cake session for Suki since her birthday was coincidentally fallen on final exam day
and this arrangement was almost failed since she nearly knew the surprise : > haha
Straight from the oven chocolate cake, raspberry sorbet, vanilla anglaise
such a long name of this dessert haha
also for this dessert, the waiter will pour vanilla anglaise on top of the cake
and when you first bite of the chocolate cake, the chocolate lava inside the cake flowing out can really melt your heart Aww. ♥_♥
Berries & cream
It served with strawberry soda which is containing in little glass there, chantilly cream and raspberry gel
I personally don't really like this dessert as I'm not a strawberry or raspberry lover
This is cheese cake ♥
It came with mascarpone semifreddo, coffee granita, vanilla cheesecake, and chocolate vol-au-vent
大三巴牌坊 Da San Ba Pai Fang aka Ruins of St. Paul's ♥
Macau
What is the first thing comes to your mind when you heard about Macau?
Ruins of St. Paul's? Macau Tower Bungy Jump? Portuguese Egg Tarts? Macau Pork Chop Bun? or GAMBLE?
Except the tower bungy jump, the rest I've been to and tried during my Macau trip on 23rd January 2015
Please don't misunderstand my word 'gamble'
I don't gamble but I saw people gamble inside the casino of Macau Venetian Hotel :P
(will blog about it soon, please stay tuned!)
Well, my fate with Macau during my last China trip has only FOUR hours time.
yeap, I didn't say wrong, you didn't read wrong, my Macau trip was just four hours duration
Why so less? perhaps you are wondering
It is actually due to the trip was organized mainly focused on visiting places in China instead of HK and Macau
Since the day we went to Macau was already day 3 of the trip, we had to rush for other itinerary
and the rental duration of travel bus in Macau can only be divided into 4-hours, 8-hours, and full day
so the tour guide had arranged us to have only 4 hours visit at Macau :(
*just in case if you don't know, my grandparents are the ones who brought me and my sis to join this trip with Ipoh travel agency
Come back to the topic!
Ruins of St. Paul's was our first stop at Macau ☺
☝ pic is the behind of Ruins of St. Paul's
The special design building at the back is Grand Lisboa, the most famous casino in Macau
Also you can see that, mountain people mountain sea at stairs of Ruins of St. Paul's
but too bad, my sis and I didn't get to go down the stairs to have a look down there due to insufficient time :(
As you can see that, it is difficult to capture a prefect pic without the people around there
Out of the blue, however, I saw a stage nearby and there was NO ONE UP THERE! :P
it was extremely a good time for us to take the best picture with Ruins of St. Paul's above the stage haha
and then me and sis immediately climbed up the stage to catch our limited time
*pic on the stage
tbh, the stage is quite high for us to reach
we had to step on the stairs edge only can climb up
There was also a young man kept staring on us like how we two naughty girls climb up the stage hahaha
and at the same time he was the one who helped us to take the most satisfied photo ♥.♥
This is our so called the most wonderful picture in Macau with Ruins of St. Paul's ^__^
ONLY ME AND MY SIS IN THE PICTURE. WITHOUT ANYBODY ELSE
The time period stayed at Ruins of St. Paul's was the way too short
I keep complaining this with my parents after I back from the trip
and who knows, they promised to bring me and my siblings to Macau again after my completion of diploma programme!!
BEST PARENTS EVER, am I right? ♥ :*
Macau trip to be continued ;)

#2 Hatyai Trip: Food
Tuesday, March 17, 2015
Helloooooooo again! :D
The post for today will be all about the food I've hunted with my family during my trip to Hatyai
It was happened last year December 12-14th
I am glad my mom has arranged me this short getaway after my final exam of semester two
It is my second time to Hatyai.
the first and second time to Hatyai experiences are absolutely different
as the first time is more to tough yet second is relax
*Just in case if you are curious why I described my first Hatyai trip is tough:
1st: travelling with travel agency is tough enough. Although they provided us a VIP bus making the journey to Hatyai comfortable a lil bit but the bus driver was very irresponsible, drove very fast making us felt uncomfortable due to the bus was super not stable.
2nd: for me, I don't like to visit temple(S). Yeap, I emphasize the S behind the 'temple' word. Visiting a temple is okay, but due to wanted to attract more people to join this trip, the travel agency has made this trip itinerary full of visiting 'a lot of places'. A lot of places are actually all the temples. Why I don't like this is because all the temples are similar. There is nothing special to visit so many time, I meant like four and even five times in a day. Plus, there is no entrance fee required to visit those temples, so I feel unfair for us as the consumers because the travel agency can generate a lot revenue.
3rd: participating trip with travel agency is necessary to follow their schedule activities even there is some unstated places in the itinerary provided. Just like my this first Hatyai trip. I have no idea why they suddenly arranged us to visit a shop that selling honey in Hatyai and a ‘don't know what place' that selling honey as well when on the way back from Hatyai. There is no agreement between consumers us and the travel agency.
sigh ☹
It is okay if you skip the☝ part :p
Back to the topic! haha
below are the food we had eaten during the second Hatyai trip last year!
Top from left to right: Deep fried fish & Fried oyster egg
Bottom from left to right: 'Qing Sun' vege & Seafood fried rice
I have no idea what is the name of the fried fish but let me tell you, the dish is very delicious!
The fish are very crispy and sweet ^___^
The fried oyster egg is so good too! the amount and the size of oyster is a lot and big!
it is totally different with KL's fried oyster egg I've eaten.
For the vege on bottom left, I think the name of the vege is called 'Qing Sun' 青笋 in mandarin
Is one of my favourite vege :)
And the seafood fried rice is tasty as well! The amount they served us was for four or five person a dish.
Top from left to right: Seafood Tomyam & Petai vege
Bottom from left to right: Braised pork trotter & Fried fish
How can we at Thailand not to have tomyam?
The tomyam served was not that spicy and was good for me who can't eat too spicy hehe :p
I don't eat petai too but I ate the quite big fresh prawns cooked with petai haha
And the braised pork trotter is a must to have in Thailand, I think? since I saw many tables there had ordered this and it was not bad
For the fried fish, I'm not sure the name of the fish again >_<
It is better to eat the fish with rice because it will be quite salty if you only eat the fish
Summarize of above food, if you want to have some proper lunch or dinner like this, Kan Eng Restaurant is recommended :)
It is located at 50/3 Kimpradit Road, opposite a Chinese temple if I not mistaken.
Next, I love to have dimsum as breakfast at Thailand☺
I am super mad love the bacon with golden needle mushroom!!
For me, that is the best dimsum I've eaten among other
and having dimsum in Thailand is not expensive which is strongly recommended as well! hehe
I had Betagen at Hatyai 7 Eleven too! It tastes like yakult actually. Not bad yeaa ;)
And also I like to eat 7 Eleven burger at Thailand, especially the pork! omggg craving it now
Mango sticky rice! yumms ♥
The coconut ice cream at Thailand is big love!
I had it at Hatyai floating market
but sadly due to the day I went was Friday at around 2pm, most of the stalls were not opened yet.
The business hour of Hatyai floating market is from Friday to Sunday at 3pm to 9pm.
Last but not least, my family's favourite beef/pork kuey teow/mee hoon at Hatyai
Since our second Haytai trip is without travel agency, we are free and easy to explore the local food
And we found this Chern Loong Noodle Restaurant with best sell pork/beef mee hoon/kuey teow
its taste is extremely good without doubt!
It is worth that we've walked on foot so long from the hotel we stayed to this restaurant! :D
For more pictures :
The name card of the restaurant
Alright that's all for today
hope you guys have a great day ahead, tada! ;)
